Saft shows the latest Li-ion battery technologies for renewable energy storage and telecoms backup at Matelec 2014
Madrid, 27th October 2014 – Saft, world leader in the design, development and manufacture of high-tech batteries for industry, is showcasing its latest lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery technologies for renewable energy storage and telecoms backup applications at MATELEC, the International Trade Fair for the Electrical and Electronics Industry.
Visitors to Booth 8D12 at MATELEC can find out more about Saft’s energy storage systems such as Evolion®, Intensium® Home and Intensium® Max, that deliver reliable backup power for telecoms networks and optimized energy storage for a variety of industrial and residential renewable energy installations.

Evolion® - reliable backup for telecom networks
Saft’s Evolion® proven Li-ion technology battery modules are designed specifically for the telecom network market. These smart, compact and lightweight modules make it possible to deliver the maximum energy backup from the limited space available within telecom cabinets while their maintenance-free design and long service life ensure optimum TCO Total cost of ownership). The Evolion modules are flexible and easy to install, while their high volumic energy means they require only 50 percent of the space required by a conventional VRLA (valve-regulated lead-acid).
Intensium® Home – maximizing domestic self-consumption
Intensium® Home is Saft’s integrated 48 V energy storage system that enables owners of residential solar PV schemes to make the best possible use of the energy they produce. Intensium Max containers are well established in high profile projects worldwide, such as the Endesa-led STORE Project in Gran Canaria lead by Endesa.
