Professional emergency & lighting units
Exit signs / Emergency lighting fixtures / Emergency locator transmitters / Conversion kits / Alarms / Emergency & security systems
Manufacturers and installers of emergency lighting systems, alarms and ELTs (Emergency Locator Transmitters) prefer batteries that they can ‘fit and forget’. These batteries need to survive very long periods without maintenance – often in harsh environments – and supply power as soon as it’s needed.
Fit for every emergency
For over 40 years Saft has been a leading supplier of rechargeable batteries to the major emergency light unit (ELU) manufacturers. We design, produce and supply a complete range of nickel-cadmium (VT/VNT/VST range) to meet the specific requirement of ELUs and self-contained emergency luminaires, as well as nickel-metal hydride (VHT) rechargeable cells for low profile/LED/moderate temp units, including:
continuous operation for up to three hours
minimum four-year service life
capable of working in extreme temperatures (from -20°C to +55°C).
compliance with international (IEC 61951), US (UL 924) and Japanese (JISC 8705) standards.
Saft also supplies large, stationary back-up batteries that provide principal emergency power to support building-wide emergency lighting and exit signage systems. In the event of an emergency discharge, the Saft batteries work in conjunction with uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and inverter systems to provide up to three hours of reliable, continuous AC power.
For ELTs, Saft offers a range of primary lithium batteries.
