The desire for clean, quiet, zero-emission transport in environmentally sensitive areas is driving the development of electric traction and hybrid traction vehicles.

Saft batteries provide a cost-effective, compact source of power for full electric-drive, hybrid-drive and ancillary operations on vehicles including Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) in industry and buildings, delivery vehicles, refuse trucks, airport luggage tractors, hospital carts and electric boats.

Saft has developed a range of rechargeable nickel-cadmium (Ni-Cd), nickel-metal hydride (Ni-MH) and lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries and fully integrated battery systems for these applications.
